How to deactivate Facebook account permanantly

This is not a trick but just an information about how to deactivate the account. Facebook users sometimes have to face problems like hacks, duplicate profile, create new account with different look, etc. In these cases, there is a need to deactivate your Facebook account id permanently. If you want to give a fresh name and fresh way to link your friends then first deactivate your previous account and then create a new one which is more interesting and more informative. 

 

Your Facebook profile should be attractive, then only there is a possibility that you may get new friends and friends of friends. What say, want to deactivate your old account which is sluggish and not so attractive. Lets change all the things and restart with a new one. 

 

In one of my posts, I have mentioned how to download the copy of the Facebook account.  Why there is a need ? As there is a need of your friends lists and their accounts to get connected in the new one. In short let me explain how to download the copy of the account that is going to be deactivated. First you login to your Facebook account. Then in the "Account settings" , click on the option "General". In that tab at the right side bottom, there is a link to download the copy of your account . Click on that link and download the copy. 

 

 

 

 

Now after downloading the copy of your account, lets deactivate the account. To deactivate the account permanently, follow these simple steps. 

1. Click on Account Settings
2. Select the Security Settings Tab 
3. Click on the "Deactivate your Account" option below 

 

 

 In the above image you must have got the idea of how to deactivate the account. After deleting this account, you will never be able to access it again. So before clicking this link you will have to be double sure to delete the account . 

 

Find out how to get Facebook user name of your friends

Facebook lovers, here is one more trick to get to know the user name or account id of anyone. It is a very simple way to find out. 

Just a simple searching through the screen can tell you the user name of anyone. 

 What you have to search is : when you login to your Facebook account, the link that gets opened is www.facebook.com/abc (for example). In this the "abc" for instance is the your user name and like wise you can find out anyone's user name or account id buy just finding the link in the browser.

Step   6: After the code is generated , you just copy and paste the code in your chat window and press enter.

"Trusted Contacts" - a key to your lost password

There is a new launch by Facebook and it is in the air recently. Facebook always tries to do R & D. The newly launched feature in the most happening social networking king is the use of "Trusted Contacts". 

Contacts that in our account are the trusted ones, then what is this new feature called "Trusted Contacts"? Is it the alarm that is warning us to be careful to select only the trusted contacts? May be in the list of our contacts, the few may be trusted according to Facebook !!! 

No, none of the above answer is right. Trusted contact is nothing but a type of help that your close friends or relatives who can regain your lost password. The password is sometimes lost by us, sometimes we just forget even if we access our account daily. It may happen which is but natural. For that , the new feature launched by Facebook will guide you to get the lost password through which you can gain access to your account. 

Think of it in this way, if you are still in the state of confusion. Suppose, you are going out somewhere and you instead of taking the keys of your house, have forgot taking it with yourself. Then to get access to you home sweet home will be a problem. May be you have to break your door for getting inside. To avoid all these circus, we intelligently give one key to our neighbors who are our close ones and are trusted ones. If in the above situation, we just ask for help to get the another set of keys of our door, then it can be opened and without any hassles. 

Similarly, if your password is your key to Facebook account and to gain the access, if your password is lost, then you can ask for your friends help who are actually "trusted" and they can solve the problem out. 

You may call this as a type of security towards your Facebook account . 

Do you remember, when we used to forget our password in gmail or yahoo account? What we used to do? The security question to be answered for setting the new password. 

In this you just have to trust your contacts and give your password to them. There is also a limit for this. Limit your "trusted contacts" to 3 or 5. Only they will gr ant you the lost password or hacked password.

How to set a security question for the Facebook to identify you

Personal things are to be kept secured when it comes to "online" visitors. One can send emails or complaints to Facebook. But Facebook has many accounts to get you notified. To make the Facebook understand that it is you with unique and trusted account, you have to set a security question which is very simple to do. 

Once set, you can get identified as the owner of the account whenever you write to them for some help. 

There is a simple and easy trick to set a security question. What you have to do is mentioned in 3 simple steps below. 

• Go to www.facebook.com and login with your account credentials
• Click on the "*" symbol at the top right corner after the lock symbol. 
• In the list of options, select "Account Settings" option
• In the left panel, select "Security" tab. 
• The very first is "Security Question" . Click on it and it will expand its settings options. 
• Select any question of your choice and answer it. 
• For saving the settings, you have to enter the password that you have set for your account. 
• Lastly click "Save Settings"

Start "Tagging" your friends in your status updates

As you have labels on any product , similarly you have "tags" in Facebook. Just like labeling, you can give a label ( tag ) to your friends in your posts that you daily update. 

This is nothing but a link to their profile as soon as you tag them. Suppose, any photo you are uploading, in that you want to name your friends, you can just by "tagging" them. 

In Facebook, you can tag anyone in photos, posts, etc. The simple way to tag people is using the symbol "@" before posting and after that type any letter. The list of groups or people appear. You can select the one whom you want to tag. By doing so, after you tag them, the notifications appear in their timeline too to whom you have tagged. 

Simple. Just a simple usage of "@" symbol, you can do tagging. Like the usage of "#" tag in Twitter.

In the image, you can see the @ symbol and after that a letter typed "a". In a fraction of a second you can see a list appearing down where there are many profiles. You can select the one for tagging.
